You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Feather Dreams

The Beatles song, written by Paul McCartney:

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free

Blackbird fly, blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night

Blackbird fly, blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Broken Feather

Paul said in an interview with Diane Sawyer   “I wrote it in the ’60’s, when the civil rights movement was at its height,” he said. “I liked to think of a blackbird as being a kind of symbol for a black woman.”

Now I think of the children in the USA and around the world, taking flight and making themselves heard.

a  Micro look at the feathers we need to soar to our full potential.
